Overview
We have a new permanent job opportunity available for a POS Estimator, based in Chelmsford, offering a salary of £25,000 to £30,000.
You will be working for a company established in 2006, who are a leading manufacturer and supplier of retail displays and furniture. They have successfully grown over the years through commitment and attention to detail to support retail environments. They offer foil blocking to laser cutting, and they can even chrome and glitter spray almost anything their clients require.
As the POS Estimator you will report into the Head of Estimating and the Operations Director. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining excellent communication and working relationships with internal teams, external suppliers and customers. You will manage queries and resolve potential problems sensitively and assertively, using your own initiative. In addition, you will interpret what is required for each project working closely with the Project Manager, creating new quotes on the database and obtaining the most cost-effective subcontract quotes including sourcing new suppliers. You will also ensure overall profitability by liaising with Project Managers to check that the correct suppliers are used. Other responsibilities include working to set deadlines to ensure customer requirements are met. Ensuring overall profitability by liaising with suppliers and Project Managers. This is a small department with demanding deadlines. Attention to detail and analytical thinking is vital to this position.
To be considered for the POS Estimator you will need…
To be a car or motorbike driver, due to their remote location with no public transport links.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in POS Retail Estimating / buying industry.
Strong written english, numeracy and organisational skills.
Excellent excel and analytical skills.
High attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team with a ‘can do’ attitude.
