Overview
We have two permanent job opportunities available for a CNC Operator, one for a day shift and one for a night shift. Based in Chelmsford, the salary is flexible depending on your CNC experience. The day shift is 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and the night shift is 5pm to 4am Monday to Friday.
You will be working for a company established in 2006, who are a leading manufacturer and supplier of retail displays and furniture. They have successfully grown over the years through commitment and attention to detail to support retail environments. They offer foil blocking to laser cutting, and they can even chrome and glitter spray almost anything their clients require.
As the CNC Operator your responsibilities will include operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and instruments according to specifications, using Tekcel, Multicam, Titan fibre laser, Press brake, Carveco and Enroute. You will read technical drawings to determine the correct setup and operation of the machine and perform quality checks on finished parts. In addition, you will maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines and perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines, adjusting the machines as needed. We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Machine Operative to join the team, who can run a shift.
To be considered for the POS Estimator you will need…
To be a car or motorbike driver, due to their remote location with no public transport links.
Two years+ experience in CNC programming.
Experience running a shift, or to have the ability to run a shift.
Experience using Tekcel / Multicam machines preferred.
Experience using Titan Fibre Laser / Press Brake preferred.
Experience using software packages / programmes Carveca / Enroute preferred.
To have a strong background in operating CNC machines.
Experienced at setting up and operating CNC machines.
Experience producing precision parts and instruments would be highly beneficial
Have a good understanding of the principles of CNC machining.
Good eye for detail.
Able to work independently.
