Due to success and growth, we have an opportunity available for a Military Events Sales Team Leader to join them.
This offers a salary of £28,800 to £38,400 salary depending upon your experience. You will also receive an additional £20,000 on-target commission which is uncapped, plus benefits.

You will be working for a successful company that organise global events alongside the Army and Navy. The sales team’s role is varied and includes researching companies and contacts, fact-finding, networking, and having discussions with companies daily. They sell the benefits of attending their events, where they can network and promote their products, services or technologies to the Army or Navy at their highly successful events. Once researched, they cold-call companies to start the ball rolling and using a tried and tested sales plan they develop relationships, to secure business and retain once won. They also build relationships and network face-to-face when they attend their global events.
They are looking for a Sales Team Leader, who leads by example, with a hands-on approach and can build a team capable of redefining what is possible. This is a ‘captain’ role, where you will be a part of the team selling delegate places to industry, but also lead the team with training, campaign planning and reporting responsibilities. This opportunity will give you the chance to travel internationally, as you will attend around four fully paid-for global events a year, each for around 2-4 days. You will receive full training and support in this amazing role.
As the Sales Team Leader you will manage your own sales campaign as a member of the team, demonstrating sales leadership, best-practice, and achieving your individual targets. You will also drive team sales performance to achieve campaign targets and ensure that team activity rates and KPI’s are met on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Other tasks include conducting weekly team reviews and 1-to-1 call coaching sessions, maintain accurate reports, and update management on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis, identify new lead sources and work with marketing to generate in-bound flows and work closely with Event Directors to draft sales campaign plans. In addition, you will also liaise with the conference production team to ensure that your delegate team is fully briefed on each event and kept up to date with the programme, work with the Chief Operating Officer to identify and hire additional team members, and work with the Head of Training to plan scheduled sessions and identify gaps in capabilities.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need…
Around three years of sales experience.
Some experience of being a Team Leader, or a Senior, or Supervisor.
A call-centre background with a phone-based sales approach and driving KPIs would be ideal, but this is not essential.
Confidence and a big personality.
